WATCH: Frank Schwindel belts 450-foot bomb off Wrigley Field videoboard |
CHICAGO — Frank Schwindel has lived up to his nickname as of late, with "The Tank" powering out a slew of home runs for the Chicago Cubs. The first baseman slugged his fifth dinger in six games on Saturday by hammering a 450-foot skyscraper that caromed off the Wrigley Field videoboard in a matchup with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Schwindel's 10th homer of the year, the fifth-inning solo shot was smoked out to left field. Former Cubs reliever Duane Underwood Jr. gave it up on a 94.3-mph four-seamer. The no-doubter left the bat at 107.9 mph and 30 degrees, trimming the Cubs' deficit to 6-4.
